Blast furnace slag cement (CEM III/A 42,5 R) A hydraulic cement produced by milling 20-80 parts (by weight) of Portland cement clinker together with a corresponding amount (80-20 parts) of blast furnace slag and a quantity of gypsum.  It conforms to TS EN 197-1.  It is used in shore and port structures, off shore constructions, disposed water facilities, foundation, bored piles, water arcs, dams, underground water pipes, of concrete, sulfate contaminated industrial work grounds and structures, refineries, tunnel shoring and in general-purpose construction works where a low hydration temperature is needed.
